That’s why nearly everything from 1970 to 1990 looked so boring. They lacked either aggression or elegance. There were only rectangles. So many rectangles.

That's quite true. Cars from the 50s and earlier were incredibly elegant, buy the past 10 years have become exceptionally aggressive. It works for some cars, but come on, who would want an aggressive looking Mercedes E class diesel?

Yeah. I think the new E-Class looks too much like a smaller S-Class. The C-Class has its own look and the E used to, so I think the new one is a bit of a step backwards. But the interior’s awesome.
